Our team

Tom leads the Advisory Team for Centennial. He earned a Bachelor of Arts, with a concentration in Accounting and Economics from Augustana College. He went on to get an MBA from St. Ambrose University. He is a CPA licensed in Iowa and Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Illinois Society of CPAs. Tom has spent his career working with small businesses, non-profits and churches assisting them in the areas of financially organizing themselves, keeping them tax compliant, and helping them to better succeed financially. Tom is active in Rock Island Rotary where he was president and serves on his church elder board.

Doug is the chief executive of Centennial Tax & Accounting, leading the company in collaboration with the Directors.  He specializes in advising small businesses, the self-employed, and entrepreneurs with entity selection, best practice training, and business acquisition, sale, and succession planning.  He also works extensively in financial reporting, tax planning, and compliance for small businesses and their owners. Doug is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Iowa Society of CPAs and holds an Iowa CPA license. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Business Degree in Accounting and Finance.  Outside of work, Doug serves as a Subject Matter Expert for SCORE of the QC, as Treasurer for his local Boy Scouts Pack, and on various committees at his church.

Molly leads the Payroll Team at Centennial Tax & Accounting. She has been working in the accounting industry along her father, Tom Hammar, for over 10 years. Accounting is a second career for Molly; she initially graduated from Bradley University and Rush University with degrees in Clinical Nutrition. She now specializes in helping small businesses, churches, and non-profits in financial compliance and organization. Outside of work, Molly stays busy with her active family and volunteer activities. She is currently Treasurer of Rock Island Rotary, Treasurer of the Friendship Manor Board of Directors, and on several non-profit finance committees.

Rick provides a wide range of advisory, accounting, and tax services. His specialty is tax planning and compliance for small businesses and their owners. He has also worked extensively in the taxpayer representation field since 1975. After attending Drake University and Iowa State University, Rick began his career in 1973 at the firm that what was most recently Oelerich, Reiling & Miller. He is a Licensed Public Accountant in the State of Iowa and an authorized enrolled agent, allowing him to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.

Catherine specializes in individual, business, estate and trust tax planning and preparation. She has worked for several public accounting firms in the Quad Cities and has over 20 years of experience in tax and accounting. Catherine is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants and serves as a member of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants Taxation Committee.

Dave specializes in advising small businesses and individuals with tax planning and compliance. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. Outside of work, he serves on his church’s parish council and as chairman of the finance council. He enjoys fishing and running in various local road races.

Becky has over 20 years of experience in high volume, multi-state/multi-company payroll processing in addition to Month/Quarter/Year-end processing and auditing. She specializes in payroll support for a range of business customers and has knowledge in a variety of topics including sales auditing and unemployment.

Susan manages the accounting team at Centennial Tax & Accounting. She primarily provides accounting services to business clients, specializing in Quick Books setup, training, and support. Susan brings many years of experience in in both public and private accounting to the Centennial team. Susan earned her Associates Degree in Accounting & Administration from AIC in 1994 and is a Licensed Public Accountant in the State of Iowa. She is also a certified Quick Books Online Pro Advisor. In her free time she is the treasurer/committee member for her local Boy Scout Troop and teaches Sunday school at her church.

Kelly brings 18 years of experience in the field, specializing in payroll and accounting. She currently focuses on providing businesses with expert accounting guidance and best practice training. Kelly is proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Wave accounting systems. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa.

Colleen has been working in accounting for over 20 years and tax for 15 of those years. She holds a BA in Accounting and a MS in Administration, both from Western Illinois University. Her work experience includes includes public accounting, non-profit fiscal/grants accounting, corporate accounting, and small businesses. Her expertise includes 1040 tax returns, to include clergy tax returns. Colleen has also worked with QuickBooks for many years, and helps clients troubleshoot issues and helps set-up clients with new QuickBooks accounts.
